A run to make you feel good :)

So today after my 16 hour day yesterday... I get a day off :) and what a nice day it has been too :) I am loving that the weather has improved now and Im hoping that we get it to stay for a while :)

I got up when I wanted to today apart from waking up to say goodbye to Mark as he left for work. I went back to bed with my cup of tea and my breakfat shake.

Once I was up and dressed I went out in the car to fill up with fuel and then round to my Mum's

She had a little pressie for me in the form of a FITBIT :) it made me smile a lot :) and i couldnt wait to sync it with MFP :) I have heard a lot of people talking about their fitbits and I was finally able to see what all the hype was about :)

So I sync it and get a little confused and decide its time for a run :) after my 4.71 mile run the other day I felt really good and couldnt wait to get back out there :)

So off I went on my route that I did the other day except I got to a point and instead of going left up the hill I went right and round along the road which eventually took me to the same place that going left up the hill would have done :) extending my entire route to a very pleasing 5.22 miles

YAY ME!!!!!

Here is my route for today :) I dont care that it took me more than an hour because while im still getting back into my running I am taking it slowly until I can run without having to stop the once or twice that I did today and will work on my pace again soon :)



 
Food has been a good day today too :) After a weekend of dinner out and far too much bread for my liking I have felt very bloated and have put weight back on this weekend but I am looking forward to using my fitbit and my running to come :)

Boom :)

Smiles all round :)

Ive been back out running :) I walked a little and took it at a slower pace but Ive been back out :) and not just on a short route either :) all 4.71 miles of a route :)

It was the best feeling getting back into the house and having done it :) and feeling a little sore.

I like feeling that effects of a workout and the saying no pain no gain really springs into mind :) My hips are struggling but I think thats something to do with how I accidently slipped off the edge of a curbside thinking it was a little further away from the edge of my foot.

The route I did today combines a fair few hills up and down :) and its so nice :) I run through the houses around Frome and there is only one extra bit I could extend the run by before having to change it up completely :)

For my first run in a while I am proud that I did more than 5k and did nearly 5 miles :) I am looking forward to my next one already.

Getting out there

So Im havnt been out running for nearly 3 weeks :( I miss it but I just cant get the motivation to get back out there.

Ive had 4 days off work and I havnt even done it then. Monday I was post night shifts and really underestimated how tired I would be this time. I normally manage to not sleep after my last night shift until I go to bed that evening and can normally do a full days 'activity' I went shopping with my Mum and had a really nice day :) but I got home and knew that I was due to be out that evening so I would need to make sure my lunch had gone down and then go out for a run..... it didnt happen... I swear I nearly fell asleep in my lunch...

So Tuesday I spent the whole day day with my greatest friend ever :) Nikki... I helped her with her Uni work then went to the shop looking for bridesmaid dresses to no avail :( and I didnt get back unitl 10pm..... A little too late for a run me thinks :( so I spent 30 minutes on the bike :)

Wednesday I met another friend for coffee and really could have gone for a run but I didnt :( and I dont even know why. I sat and watched a film rather than going out and I so could easily have done so :( I even went and baught some new "SMALLER SIZE" running trousers :) and that didnt inspire me to go :(

Today is Thursday and Nikki's at mine this time and more uni work is being done :) She needs to leave by approx 3 pm so I have told her she needs to make me leave for a run as she is leaving :) And she will be doing it :) so an update later may involve a map of my walk/run that I WILL be doing :)

I aim to if im walking to do my longest one and to run as much as I can before I really have to stop :) I will get back into this and every other day I have a day off for the next week so I will force myself to do runs on those days :)

PLEAAAASEEE let me get back into it NOW!!!! 3 weeks until holiday

Feeling human

So I get rid of my cold and then I faint at work :s I know weird and the first thing people asked me is was I pregnant? Whats all that about jeeze.

So I have my blood test and it shows raised infection markers and liver enzymes so I am now awaiting an ultrasound of my abdomen to see if there is any abnormalities. So the past week has been rest and recouperation and now I am finally back together :)

So yesterday was my first day back on the bandwagon on the diet front and I had a really good day :) I have upped my calorie intake as advised by a few of my fellows on My Fitness Pal and had my normal 3 cambridge products plus an evening meal and snacks through the day :)

It worked a lot better for me all an all. I think one of my main issues is that when I stop I feel I want to snack. Lesson??? dont stop ?? however that may make me eventually keel over with exhaistion so I need to find a way to combat this. But I can work on that.

So I havnt been able to run recently due to the cold and the abdomen issues but Im hoping after my night shifts that I am able to slowly get myself back into it because call me crazy or not I reallllly MISS running :(

So starting nights tonight and today is off to a good start. Yoghurt for breakfast, milkshake and salad for lunch and the rest of the day is yet to come :)

I have not lost any weight in a while but with a few weeks left until holiday im hoping on that this will change and there can once again be a 14 as the first figure on the scales :) PERMANENTLY

The weather turns nice and I get a cold

So we have had one of the coldest years so far and its already April and we still have been having snow :S

It warmed up for a couple of days just after easter and now??? Rain .....

It warmed up and I got a cold so exercise was ruled out... seeing as even to move my head felt like it was going to explode I didnt think going out for a run would help one bit if I couldnt breathe when stationary :( so that ruled that out.

And now its raining.. Im still ill with this cold but im getting there... Back to work tomorrow after a few days off which have been nice :)

So on the diet front I have let slip a little whilst i have been ill. Everything tastes like cardboard and my appetite goes from 'im not hungry' to 'OMG I think my throat has been cut im so hungry' and the only thing taht has been settling that hunger???? the Chocolate eggs :'( I have tried my best to only have little bits and I am doing well but I know that there is still a whole egg unopened and a half sat in the fridge taunting me....

I am hoping to be seeing some weight loss next week when I get back on this. My holiday is 6 weeks away and I would love to have got my total loss up to 30lbs at least... Ive been stuck at 26lbs for a while now :(

For now its going to be a get myself better then get on it again week :(

easter weekend

I went to my weigh in following my few days off work to find I had lost 3lbs however I can almost completely guarentee that I have put that on this weekend without fail.

Yesterday involved a gorgeous roast dinner with all the trimmings including my own home made cauliflower cheese :)/:( and a creme d'monthe cheesecake; but it was combined with a 2 and a half hour dog walk through the forest at shearwater lake featured in my blog a few weeks ago.

And Today well.... I started the day off to a great start.... I hadnt even opened any of my 3 easter eggs that are sat here taunting me.... that was until I went out with my Mumto the garden centre and came back too late for dinner and the first thing I did was snack on yep you guessed it the chocolate.

And then it really went wrong............... so im my house we normally go away fro easter weekend but due to other things we were unable to. however we did keep up with one of our traditions and my waist line is going to hate me!!!! You see normally we have a chinese take out on easter Monday and today unfortunately was no different.

One thing however is that I feel like rubbish after it! I ate far too much and I feel sluggish and realllly really rubbish for eating it.... and to make things worse I didnt go out for a run today and I completely could have done :( and tomorrow involves a 16 hour day at work :(

Really hoping that this 'week' is better and I can lose at least some weight or even stay the same when it comes to thursday morning
